There are reports that the Dead Sea could dry up in the next several years – but there may be a solution

For a number of years, the Dead Sea, located in the Jordan Valley with the Eastern shore in Jordan and the Western shore in Israel, the Dead Sea has been losing its water and now it’s sinking by about three feet per year which is causing fears both in Jordan and Israel that the Dead Sea could literally dry up by the year 2050.

One of the main ideas being considered by Jordan and Israel is the Red Dead Conveyance Project, a project that would involve digging a canal and using a series of water pipeline conduits that could bring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea in order to bring the Dead Sea water level back to normal.

The project would take over 20 years to complete and would cost as much as 15 billion dollars at today’s values, but when completed, the project would bring about a new source of electric energy for the region, create new recreational areas to draw tourists to the area, and save one of the wonders of the world, the Dead Sea, which is located at the lowest spot on the earth.

The Red Dead Project could save the Dead Sea, but it also may be a project that will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For a number of years, Middle East politicos, governmental leaders, and engineers have been talking about the Red Dead Project and how it could be the answer to the ever increasing problem at the Dead Sea and its loss of water. In search of a solution for this problem, Israeli President Shimon Peres presented the Red Dead Project to a regional gathering of political
leaders, governmental officials and bankers.

This momentous project would take years and cost billions of dollars, but would also ultimately pay for itself in the long run. There are those who say this type of project could produce great wealth like the silver and gold that could be extracted from the Dead Sea, enough money to pay the national debts of almost every nation in the world.

In the book of Ezekiel 38:13, the prophet mentions the gold and silver that will attract Israel’s enemies to come to destroy the Jewish state. Later in Ezekiel 47, he mentions how water from the Temple in Jerusalem will actually flow down to the Dead Sea and make it a freshwater lake, not 10 times saltier than the ocean as it is today.

A focus on the Dead Sea is indeed a prop on the stage for the end times scenario that will be fulfilled.

Rumors of War: II now FREE to watch!

As many of you probably remember, I started an introduction on Glenn Beck’s documentary, Rumors of War: II, a while back. Unfortunately, I never had much time to go any farther with it. However, I guess the Lord knew it wouldn’t really matter because Glenn has announced that it is now free to watch on his website and Facebook page. An Update – Serving: Where God Wants > Where I Want

I just wanted to write a post to fill you all in on what has been going on with me and why I have not been very productive on this blog lately. The easiest way I could put it would be to just say that I have been super busy, which is the honest truth entirely. However, much of my occupation has come not from my own doing, but from God. Of course I work two jobs, which both have recently been under a certain set of circumstances that does not allow me to be able to take off as much as I would like to, so I really have to plan out my schedule, week by week, and sometimes, day by day.

The Lord was gracious enough to hold these circumstances back to allow me to be able to take off for the week of June 20-24, which I spent with my wonderful youth group, at the Xtreme Summer Conference 2011 in Panama City Beach.  It was an absolutely amazing experience with great spiritual leaders and awesome bands, including one of my all-time favorites, Lecrae. The Holy Spirit was moving within the place we worshiped at and also in our hearts. I remember the first night we got there, my friend, Sage, and I walked into the large worship room where there would be more than 1500 people praising God during the whole week, and I immediately felt the presence of the Almighty. By the time we got back on Friday, we had all grown closer together as a youth group, and more importantly, a member asked God to be her personal savior. As I am typing this, the Spirit is moving strongly within me and tears of joy are coming to my eyes. There is no better feeling in this world than to know that a lost soul is now saved by the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After getting back and going through withdraws from not being with my church family, life tried to take over again. Circumstances came up at work that bumped me from around 24 hours a week to 31, not considering my other job. I started to be a constant bad mood, which isn’t normal for me. But soon enough, with the help of my loving family, I lightened up a bit, although I still just had this feeling like something is missing.

So what did I do? I prayed. You might have seen a paraphrased version of my conversation with God that night if you saw my status on Facebook: “Here I am Lord. I’m on my knees in Your holy presence. I’m here only because of Your infinite mercy and grace. Use me up Lord. Give me the courage to stand up for what I believe, and the strength to perform Your
will for my life. Here I am Lord. Send Me.” I gave it all to God, and asked that He would use me in the way he would see fit. I also asked Him to give me the strength, courage, and guidance to do whatever it was that He decided. It wasn’t too much longer that an old friend that moved to Enterprise from Zion Chapel, randomly sent me a IM on Facebook one night, asking if I would help out with a children’s church camp at the Vineyard. As soon as I read her question I asked the Lord right then, “Is this what You would want me to do?” I believe he answered me with an immediate “Yes!” So after praying about it some more I decided that, despite my unwillingness because of the uncertainty of what I would exactly be doing, I would do it.

Ever since, I feel like that small part that was missing has been filled. The camp is currently going on right now and is going very good. I am really enjoying it, as are the kids. It ends on Wednesday around lunch so please keep these young boys and girls in your prayers.

My endnote is this: The only way to receive true joyfulness is to faithfully serve God. I think that many times people just serve, without the faith. Here’s the thing though…your not going to get anywhere with works alone. Only when you add in honest prayer, faith, patience, and seeking God’s face within His word, will you win souls. And isn’t that the ultimate goal for us as Christians? So I challenge you right now. Give it all to God and ask Him to lead you to the places and people that He wants you to interact with. And whenever you get that far, ask for the courage to not back down. Take a step out of your comfort zone. Many times that is the best place for God to use you in.

Finally, thank you all for being very patient with me as I fall behind on this blog. For I may be slowing down here, but in God’s overall plan I’m speeding on to the end of the race. I love you all and hope to hear from you soon. God Bless – Landan.

The “Top Five” List

This is a short passage from Joel Rosenburg’s book, Inside the Revolution, in which he interviews William G. “Jerry” Boykin. Boykin is the former commander of the Delta Force. He also was a three-star lieutenant general in the United States Army and served as deputy undersecretary of the defense for intelligence. On the subject of how exactly would the Radicals hit us (the USA), Boykin gave his “top five” list of scenarios that deeply trouble him and his colleagues in the military and intelligence community.

“What, then, is the worst-case scenario?” I asked. “I think the worst-case scenario is that the jihadists continue in their pursuit of weapons of mass destruction,” Boykin said without hesitation. “Weapons of mass destruction are available to them now, particularly chemical and biological, and those are not hard to make. But the worst-case scenario is, I think, that they have nuclear capabilities within these terrorist organizations, within the jihadist movement; that they intimidate Europe to the point that Europe is no longer capable of standing against them as they have done historically; and that they take their extremism to the entire world, and people start to buckle under the intimidation and pressure of what I would see as a huge Islamic movement.”

Worst-Case Scenario No. 1:

Once Iran acquires operational nuclear weapons, they could attach these warheads to short-to-medium-range ballistic missiles, hide such missiles in commercial containers (used to transport cars, farm equipment, toys from China, and so forth), and then launch those missiles off the backs of container ships approaching major American port cities. As portrayed in my novel Dead Heat, this would give the enemies of the United States the decisive element of surprise. A missile fired at Manhattan, Los Angeles, Seattle, or Washington, D.C., would take less than five minutes to impact, giving civilians no effective warning and no time to evacuate, and giving U.S. military forces precious little opportunity to intercept those missiles—even if we had a missile-defense system guarding the homeland, which we currently do not. Iranian forces would not have to carry out such attacks themselves, of course. They could provide nuclear weapons and missiles to terrorist groups such as al Qaeda, Hezbollah, or some other Radical group as proxies to carry out their apocalyptic agenda.

Worst-Case Scenario No. 2:

Iran or other Radical states or groups could load nuclear weapons onto private planes taking off from Canada, Mexico, or another foreign country, bound for the United States. Once inside our airspace, they could then fly kamikaze missions into American cities or simply detonate the nuclear weapon inside the plane itself—over their intended target—without initiating a dive-bombing sequence or making any other obviously hostile moves that might alert air-traffic controllers to the threat. Passengers and cargo on private planes receive few if any security clearances before entering U.S. airspace. No ID checks. No metal detectors. No luggage screening. All this creates enormous holes in our homeland security defense systems, which Radicals may soon take advantage of.

Worst-Case Scenario No. 3:

Radicals could load nuclear weapons onto private yachts or other boats entering the harbors of major American cities and detonate these weapons close to population centers, airports, and naval bases.

 Worst-Case Scenario No. 4:

Radicals could smuggle nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction into the U.S. through Canada or Mexico to be detonated deep in the interior of the country. People, drugs, and weapons are smuggled into the U.S. all the time. U.S. homeland security has improved significantly since 9/11, but in many ways, our borders are still Swiss cheese, making us extremely vulnerable to catastrophic attacks of this nature.

Worst-Case Scenario No. 5:

Even without access to fully developed, state-of-the-art nuclear bombs and nuclear warheads, Radicals could still hit us hard. They could, for example, build and detonate “dirty bombs”—bombs made with conventional explosives such as dynamite, mixed with waste from nuclear power plants or other radiological substances—inside the United States. Experts say such devices would not cause the same magnitude of catastrophic death or destruction as a true nuclear weapon, but they would still be psychologically and economically devastating. We are also vulnerable, Boykin noted, to chemical and biological weapons in subways and water systems.

The age of America will soon come to an end

The International Monetary Fund, the IMF, recently dropped a bombshell and most of the world is yet to notice that for the first time, this international organization has set a date when the age of America will end and the United States economy will be overtaken by that of China. According to the latest IMF official forecast, China’s economy will surpass that of America in real terms, in 2016 which will bring an end to America’s leadership in this world.

America’s leadership role in our world today is coming to an end and it could be sooner rather than later, according to Bible prophecy.

For the last several years America has been on a downward spiral economically and it does not seem like any of our political leaders know how to stop the economic disaster that is on the horizon for the United States. A recent report by the International Monetary Fund reveals that by 2016, China will surpass the United States economically and become the world’s superpower.

In light of the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the end of times, the IMF report is right on target. America has been great because it has been the launchpad for world evangelization with the manpower, materials, and money needed to reach the world with the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the Savior. The United States has also played the major role in protecting the Jewish people but that key role for America is about to come to and end one way or another.

The IMF forecast is one very viable possibility but I believe the Rapture of the Church, true born again Christians, leaving this world for the heavens will render America inoperative. America has kept the Middle Eastern Islamic nations from attacking and destroying Israel as foretold in Bible prophecy in Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38.

The rise of the European Union which I do believe is at least the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire and the appearance of the world dictator out of the Revived Roman Empire, the Antichrist, as foretold in Daniel 7:7-24 has been held back by a strong United States.

With America on the sidelines, end time Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
